The Richmond rugby club would like to continue to offer minis as part of an ongoing commitment to develop and sustain its junior program. We are actively seeking parent volunteers to serve as coaches and managers for the mini program this spring. If you would like to help out please contact our junior coordinator, Joe Clemente. Email : email@example.com
The junior co-ordinator is requesting volunteers from the senior squads who would be willing to assist in running one hour clinics at each of the 3 highschools currently running fall rugby. Your commitment would require one hour of your time on a Tuesday and or Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 between now and mid November. The clinics would involve organizing and coaching drills and mini games to promote skill development. This is part of a new initiative to promote club membership and participation from more Richmond highschool students.
BC Rugby will be hosting a coaching clinic for all beginners on Feb 13th. You can read more about it here.
Basically if we can fill up the course with Richmond guys/girls, then the course can be held at King George Park. But if not, then we have to make a bit of a commute - so lets get as many people we can into the course as possible.
Contact our president or junior coordinator if you're interested.
The Richmond RFC is putting together a 2011 calendar with selected pictures from the current rugby year (mini, junior, and seniors) as a fundraiser. They will be going to print in the next week. The cost of the calendars is $12. If you are interested please reply with the number that you want so we can get a better idea of how many we need. They will make great stocking stuffers or just to hang on the wall in the office.
Please contact Jon Malchy if interested - firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for supporting the Richmond Rugby Club!
