The Lemons Sevens - featuring a number of players from the Richmond Rugby Football Club, won their second straight SFU Highland tournament on Saturday.
Beginning the day with a tight victory over SFU, the Lemons looked a bit shaky in their second game against The Untouchables (a team comprised of Velox and Vancouver Island based players). However, some late additions to the roster proved to be the key as the Lemon Lads rolled over Ridge Meadows and Brits B in their final pool games, putting them through to the semi finals.
The Richmond Invitational side fell 33 - 7 to Colfe's School of London in a well-played match in front of fans at South Arm Park in Richmond on Thursday night. The young Dragons side was captained by Mati Gordon for the final time as the young fly half heads to the University of Toronto in September to play for the Varsity Blues.
